The sunscreen agents are used to create a light weight sunscreen to avoid the heaviness and the potential pore clogging of zinc and titania sunscreens

Do we test on animals?

NZ Sunscreen is Cruelty free, NZ sunscreen does not test on animals.

Do we use parabens and sulphates?

NZ Sunscreen does not use parabens or sulphates.

Is there anything in Pure Shade that I could react to?

NZ Sunscreen has tried to be a natural as you can get with its products. The Pure Shade After Sun is 100% natural and the Pure Shade Sunscreen is as natural as you can get while still containing sunscreen agents.

With this in mind some people have very sensitive skin and Pure Shade products contain sunscreen agents, bee products, and natural fragrance (Benzyl salicylate, Geraniol, Limonene, and Linalool) avoid if sensitive to these. We recommend to always patch test on skin before use.

What sun protection standards does Pure Shade meet?

Pure Shade by NZ Sunscreen has been independently tested by Dermatest Australia.

According to the 2012 AS/NZ 2604 Standard Pure Shade is classed as Very High Protection Sunscreen and can be labelled up to SPF78.
 
Under the E.U. and ASEAN certification Pure Shade complies with ISO 24444 Cosmetics Sun Protection Methods and is classified as "Very High Protection" and can be labelled up to SPF50+.
